Windows 11 laptop overheating? You can fix overheating issue quite easily in Windows 11 and 10 quite easily! Go to Control Panel. Change the view type on the TOP Right to Large icons. Go to Power Options. Click on Change plan settings- Change Advanced Power Settings. Scroll down to Processor Power Management. Click on it to expand it! You have to make two changes here!
1- Maximum Processor State. You can set it under 100%. Minimal changes in processor state won’t make any changes in performance, but you can see a drastic change in overheating! So if you are a heavy gamer, you can change it to 99%, still you can see a drastic change in heating. If you are a normal user, you can set it to 90%. I have set it to 75% without any lag in performance! But depends upon your processors!
2- System Cooling Policy. DON’T WORRY if it’s missing! See the notes below!
Under system cooling policy, set it to ACTIVE both on battery and power.
Restart your computer to apply the changes!
