If you’re one of the former fans out there who thinks #OnePlus has lost its way, chances are the state of its software is what’s soured you on the brand. #OxygenOS started out as a clean, minimalist, near-stock version of Android. More recently though, it’s become just another variant of ColorOS, the skin made by OnePlus parent brand Oppo.
So will the new OxygenOS 13 change that? Well until recently, chances looked good — the company made a lot of noise earlier this year about this new UI being developed with design input form Google *and* OnePlus fans. Sounds a lot like the good old days, right?
But as is often the case with OnePlus and software, things aren’t quite as clear as they first seem.
