Gaming in Linux has had issues in the past, but thanks to the Steam Deck and Valve’s commitment to making it better, I finally feel Linux Gaming is good enough that I can finally ditch Windows! I demo five games (including two with ray tracing) in various launchers including Steam, Blizzard’s Battle.net, and Epic Games to show how good performance is with an AMD Radeon 6700 XT GPU. Also, thanks to Wine based software such as Bottles, installation of these launchers is super easy.
This video is a general overview, not a detailed step-by-step guide, but I also give some tips and suggestions on the software packages you should install to get the best performance. I plan to do a follow-up video soon that focuses on running Windows productivity and non-gaming applications in Linux, so stay tuned for that!
