Okay, so for those of you who don’t know, there is a hidden menu in Android that lets you make some tweaks. One of the options is to change the “Animation Scale” speeds on the various UI animations.
I’ve been seeing the recommendation for a while now to change it to .5x but I ignored it, as I foolishly often ignore great advice. It’s like my phone and tablet just got a crazy speed boost!
I swear, the animations at 1x make Android seem slow and stuttery by comparison. I’m not sure why they’d make it the default.
And yes, I know it’s a placebo effect, and that my phone and tablet aren’t suddenly faster… but it’s a placebo that works on me.
