How to Nvidia Prime Render Offload for Better Performance on Debian Linux



Debian supports Nvidia Optimus via the Prime Render Offload environment variables out of the box when using the closed-source Nvidia drivers.

Using the closed-source drivers isn’t desirable but it’s required if you want to do any 3D gaming on Linux. The latest drivers integrate with the iGPU via Nvidia Optimus so you can switch between GPUs and get better performance and better battery life.
