The LXD team has been busy developing an official LXD “charm” for Juju. This makes it very easy to deploy standalone or clustered LXD servers in the cloud on a variety of providers or even on bare metal through MAAS.
Here we’ll be deploying a 8 server cluster in a local Google Compute region, then look at how the LXD charm assembles the cluster and sets up storage and networking and finally set it up to be usable from our local machine and run a bunch of instances on it.
