Is Phoenix Point worth it? We’ve got a full Phoenix Point review on Rock Paper Shotgun, but this is the video team’s impressions of the game. Having read mixed things from Phoenix Point Backer Build 5 reports (the last version released to crowdfunders) we had low expectations, but the release version is far from a disaster. As you’ll see from this Phoenix Point gameplay (PC), it hasn’t got the visual splendour of modern XCOM, but it has loads of great ideas, from combat tweaks – free aiming and action points – to massive trucks and the deep strategy of the Geoscape.
