I have updated my mod to allow for adjustable PhysX simulation framerates.
Cloth simulations (construction tarps, strip curtain doors, etc.) in Mirror’s Edge are simulated at a rate independent of the game’s framerate, otherwise known as time-steps. By default, Mirror’s Edge uses a value of 50 FPS for PhysX cloth simulations, which can appear choppy when using reaction time or when running the game above the 62 FPS limit. If playing at the default 62 FPS limit, change the PhysX FPS value to 62 FPS to match the simulation rate with the game’s framerate to eliminate the frame pacing appearance of cloth simulations. Alternatively, double this value to 124 FPS if you want smoother simulations during reaction time too. If playing at uncapped FPS, set this value to whatever you want (max of 300 FPS).
